Apparently, this FAILS
How to fix Korean 4.2 error: 003 unauthorized device has been detected
Step 1
Download System-Update_4.2K.zip
Password: I Love WiiHacks.com
Wii Autoboot Creator.zip
Step2
Obtain an autobooting modchip, I used a wasabii dx. You can find some autobooting chips HERE
Obtain an iso in your wii's region, unscrubbed with update partition, which will autoboot on your wii. The game partition must be small, leaving enough room for this update which is large. I used Mario Kart (ntsc) patched to autoboot, but had to delete partition-3 to make enough room. You may need to test a few games. Animal Crossing would be a good choice, assuming it will autoboot. Will add a list of games as they are discovered.
Obtain one cheap gc-controller
Step3- Port System Update 4.2k into any game
Extract System-Update_4.2K.zip to a folder containing your game iso.
Goto that folder, open WIIScrubber.exe
Click YES to "doesn't seem to be the correct key.bin. Do you want to use anyways?"
Click Load, select your game iso
All partitions will be marked as bad, this is ok.
Right click on Partition:0-UPDATE
Click- Resize partition, copy and paste the Maximum value into the Current value, click OK
Click- crypted partition- Load- Partition0.img
Exit the app and burn the iso to play- burn it proper
Part 4- Boot the game and update
Do savemiifrii
Plug a gc-controller into port #4
Hold all 4 directionals down on the d-pad at the same time, now boot the wii and keep holding all four directionals down. Screen should boot to black, with system menu 4.2* in the lower right corner.
Now be patient, the game should boot, the 4.2 should disappear and eventually the game should boot. It the 4.2 persists, eject the disk and reinsert.
If you are having trouble getting a game to autoboot, you can try to patch the iso to autoboot with Wii Autoboot Creator.zip
The game should offer a system update, accept the update
Now reboot your wii.
Part 5- softmod the wii
